Val Wens, ARTJOG
Congratulations to Val Wens who has been invited for ARTJOG MMXXIII this year with his current project Senja di Panjalu (The Dusk in Panjalu).
ARTJOG 2023 will occur from 30 June – 27 August 2023 at the Jogja Nasional Museum in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This year contemporary art festival will be co-curated by curator and writer Hendro Wiyanto and established artist Nadiah Bamadhaj and carries the theme Motif: Lamaran. Motif wishes to combine the ideas of a pattern of working of artists and ask them to reveal the intent and motivation behind their works. Lamaran is a methodology for the curatorial team in approaching and drawing out the motivation and art practices through contact, discussions, and silahturahmi with artists.
